What is Shoulder & Rotator Cuff Pain?
The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that stabilise your shoulder and make lifting, reaching, and rotating your arm possible. When these tendons become irritated, strained, or partially torn, it can lead to pain, weakness, and restricted movement. With the right care, including targeted treatments like low-level laser therapy, many rotator cuff problems can heal and function can be restored.
Common Symptoms
Pain when lifting your arm or reaching overhead (e.g. dressing, brushing hair, or reaching for shelves)
Aching or discomfort on the outside of the shoulder or upper arm
Night pain or trouble sleeping on the sore shoulder
Weakness, stiffness, or reduced movement when using the shoulder
Clicking, catching, or a gradual build-up of shoulder pain over time
How can we help?
Low level laser therapy uses infrared laser light painlessly to promote healing and tissue repair when everything else has failed and is at the centre of our holistic treatment approach.
Our Low Level Laser Therapy program is carefully structured and supervised by GP Dr Shikha Parmar. We start with a full assessment so your treatment plan is tailored to your health, lifestyle, and activity needs. We provide personalised advice and a rehab program to support your recovery.
Most people need around 12 sessions, with progress checked along the way. Your recovery is supported by gentle rehab and activity guidance. The program is time-limited, once therapy finishes, your body continues to heal naturally, helping you get back to moving with confidence and returning to normal activity.
